Super Powers

We all have super powers; my big-cat can do freaky-math in his head (think the strange guy who likes to watch Judge Wopner) and my middle-cat can remember the lyrics to any really bad/obscure 1980/90s R&B song).

My super power is that I can make my eyes turn to stars and then I can make people who don't like cats (strange but true) give me a full bowl of cat-vittles.

What is/are your super-power(s)?

My catio

Now that summer is here, whenever I have a chance I like to hang outside on the catio.

Sometimes I see birdies and sometimes I see some squirrels. Both are piggies and eat all of the seeds that the big-cats store in the little red house on the back fence.

I like plants a lot and sometimes I eat too much grass. When I do that, I like to run inside and throw up (I wouldn't want to mess up my catio)...once the middle-cat sat in my grass-barf and she wasn't very happy with me.

This year the big-cats have put two large planters on my catio. I tried to move them, but they were much too heavy. I'm hoping that the tomatoes that were planted in these planters are tasty for little-cats.

Toller or not a Toller

Wow, look at this. Two posts in one day.

This post is about something called a Nova Scotia Duck Toller. My big-cats have been talking for years about bringing one of things home to live with us. I'm not sure why they need to bring anything so un-catlike into our nice house.

I'm sure it would chase me around (I'm 15 years old and not as spry as I used to be), eat my cat food, and make lots messes on the carpet (which now I do very seldom). Also, I think that it would make my big-cats go out for walks without me (I'm allergic to leashes).

Can anyone please tell me what they think about a NSDT coming to live with us.

Bowen Island

Sorry it's been so long since I posted but my big-cats have been away. They went to Bowen Island for the big-cat's birthday.

While they were on Bowen, they hiked up Mt Gardner and looked back at downtown Vancouver and the Lions Gate Bridge (see picture).

It was a beautiful view, but I'm glad that I stayed home and slept most of the weekend. I would have hated to think how dirty my paws would have gotten on the hike.

Rock the Cat Spa

Unlike most girls, I don't like getting my nails done. It's torture, I tell ya! If the Big Cats try to paint my toes, I'm outta here. PK

Stampy

I used to have a brother-fish named "Stampy". The picture to the left was taken when I met Stampy. As you can see, I was very excited to meet him.

Stampy was named after an elephant that radio station KBBL was giving away one day.

I wanted to play with Stampy, but the big-cats would not let me. They said he needed to stay in his bowl.

Sometimes I would try to climb up on the bookshelf to see him, but that was strongly discouraged by the big-cats.

When we were alone in the house, we used to spend time together just watching what happened outside the front window or playing charades. Stampy was very good at games.

Other than that, Stampy didn't do much other than swim in his bowl, but I really liked him.

He died just before the big-cats and I moved to Richmond. I still miss him. He was a good brother-fish.

Not easily impressed.

I'm not sure why people think they need my approval or friendship. I have two best friends in this world -- the Big Cat and the Middle Cat. Why do I need more?

Most people who come over try to befriend me. Some will pull out all the stops. Brushing me is nice and all, but you have to know when to stop.

And then there are people like MerFer. I think she thought her slick yoga moves would win me over. That may wow the Big Cats but I don't care if you're bendy.

My favourite kind of peeps brings food with no strings attached. Michelle understands this, so she's cool in my books.

Schwerpsy Powers

There's a little know fact about little-cats. We have a special set of powers that can do many different things, depending on our moods. As a group, the powers are known as Schwerpsy.

Two of the most common uses of Schwerpsy Powers are to: 1) Get the big-cats to give us little-cats some food, and 2) As a way to cure big-cats of various sicknesses/diseases.

The attached picture is an example me in the middle of using power #2 on the middle cat.

In this case, happily use #2 succeeded and thus the middle-cat then succumbed to use #1 (see previous post on Fancy Feast).

Schwerpsy Powers are like The Force...if the little-cat is not properly mentored when being trained on their use, the little-cat can tempted to join the dark side (think the tech bubble in the early 21st century and Enron).

New Canadian Olympic Uniforms

I'm a cat, with exceptionally nice fur, so I don't often wear any clothes (except the odd accessory that the middle-cat likes me to try on).

I like to think that I have good fashion sense but I don't understand the look of the new Canadian Olympic uniforms.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I hope the big-cats don't ever come home wearing these clothes.
