Famous cats

Current Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev owns a cat named "Dorofei". Dorofei, born in 2004, is a rare breed of the Siberian cat called the Neva Masquerade.

It was reported that Dorofei once got into a fight with a cat belonging to Mikhail Gorbachev (then Medvedev's neighbour).

Dorofei lost the fight, and was put onto antibiotics for a month to help heal the injuries it sustained in the fight, and was also fixed to prevent a repeat incident.

Things may be tough in Russia, but I think that is a little extreme for losing one fight!! I guess the Russian Olympic athletes will be now extra motivated to do well in the upcoming 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Happy 1st birthday

A Colorado woman recently celebrated the the first birthday of a burger and fries she's been keeping on her office bookshelf.

“I bought a Happy Meal and then placed it on my office shelf, right behind me and my computer. It sat on my shelf for a year as a silent witness to our fast food industry”.

Let's just say that if that happy meal was at my house, there would be a few less fries left sitting on the bookshelf.

When it's your time to go...

A sad and strange story from the wires.

A 38-year-old father of two was jogging and listening to his iPod when he was hit from behind and killed by a small plane making an emergency landing on the beach, officials said Tuesday.

Robert Gary Jones of Woodstock, Ga., died instantly Monday evening when he was hit by the single-engine plane, which had lost its propeller, said Beaufort County Coroner Ed Allen. The pilot’s vision was blocked by oil on the windshield.

Jones apparently did not see or hear the plane, which was “basically gliding,” the coroner said.

I'm 16 years old now

And there are many things I want to do this year; first is to learn how to drive a car like my hero Toonces.

But I have also figured out some things that I don't want to try; and top of that list is surfing, like this silly Alpaca.
